Introducing the TONE3000 API (beta)

Instantly connect your plugin, pedal, or app to the TONE3000 library.June 20, 2025

We're excited to launch version one of the TONE3000 API – a powerful new way for developers and hardware manufacturers to access the vast universe of Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) profiles and impulse responses (IR's) created by the TONE3000 community.

The TONE3000 API lets you build music applications that load tones directly from TONE3000. No manual downloads, no local storage, no file juggling. Just instant access to a massive, ever-expanding library of guitar tones, bass tones, equipment captures and much more.

What's possible now?

  • A pedal that loads your amp models
  • A block-based signal chain builder
  • A plugin that instantly connects your favorite pedals to your DAW
  • A convolution reverb that pulls IRs from TONE3000
  • A synth with a TONE3000-powered saturation slot
  • An LED display showing your tones download count

Version one of the TONE3000 API allows your users to log into their TONE3000 accounts and access tones they've created or favorited directly within your pedal, plugin, or app. You can manage your API key and view usage via account settings. Next, we'll expand the API to support browsing tones, creating tones, and much more.

To help you get started, we've open-sourced a demo web app using the API: https://github.com/tone-3000/api

We're launching the API as a beta, so we'd love your feedback. Tinker, build, break stuff and let us know how it goes. You can report bugs or suggestions to support@tone3000.com.
