Free FULL RIG NAM Pack – VOX AC30 TOP BOOST Hey, we’re PlugnPlayTones — a not for profit, community-driven project dedicated to delivering authentic, mix-ready amp tones for both studio and live use. We regularly reach out to online guitar communities, run polls, and ask which amps they want captured. This way, the power stays in the community’s hands, and we do our best to capture each amp as faithfully as possible and only provide tones that are usefull for live and studio work. This free NAM pack is a full-rig capture of a Vox AC30 Top Boost , captured professionally using modern studio techniques. To ensure the best possible sound we use multiple mics and mic placement at the same time when capturing. Typically we use 2-5 mics and we blend them together to create one cohesive sound. We use typical studio mics for miking an amp and also UAD, Acustica Lava and Slate hardware and mic-modelling systems. Giving us access to tons of microphone models in a few clicks of a button. This allowed us to blend the most suitable mic models for the best tone possible. This process takes a lot of time to get right but this is the best way to achieve the most authentic and inspiring tones possible. Our Nams is ready to load into your NAM plugin or NAM-compatible loader pedals—no IRs needed, no heavy tweaking required. Just plug, play, and get inspired. Free NAMs specifically trained for Valeton, Hotone and Sonicake devices will be coming soon , using our own Tone Retention Capture & Training Process. This reduces the clarity and tone loss that usually occur when loading NAMs into these devices. Use it freely in your live sets, recordings, or projects. My Nam packs are Calibrated for : -12dbfs/+12dbu input which is the common standard for most amp sims, modeler and capture loader. 1. Load the appropriate NAM file for your device (each one is labeled clearly). 2. For Nam Plugins I recommend to use a free plugin like Youlean Loudness Meter before the NAM plugin, and play normally while adjusting your interface input gain until your True Peak reads close to -12 dBFS. 3. For Valeton, Hotone and Sonicake Users , there’s no way to verify if you’re exactly at -12 dBFS . Instead, load any of my NAM labeled Edge of breakup , and play normally while adjusting your input gain until the amp reacts naturally.
