Coke Joint Bass

From a time before NAM, a mixture of a mic'd Peavey bass amp head/Carvin Red Eye 4x10 (coke joint) and direct signal. Dialed in to cut through your guitar player's bullshit. Small differences in compression and grit settings on the DI track. My personal tone for rock/metal stuff, aggressive fingerstyle. A pick attack really cuts through, too. On a side note, I'm surprised how well NAM captures the compression on these. I didn't think it could be done.
