Description
This capture set is based on the Greuter Audio Boost V2 pedal, which is heavily inspired by the legendary Dallas/Arbiter Rangemaster Treble Booster pedal. The core component of this pedal is a handpicked and finely adjusted Germanium transistor, like the one used in the original Dallas pedals. It has a bit of a warmer and less aggressive tone than its silicon counterparts but it can be noisy when the output control is pushed to its limit. One specialty of the Greuter pedal is that it can be run with a standard center minus power supply, unlike many other germanium transistor pedals. What's unique about this pedal compared to a real Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster is the Tone control. If you want the original Dallas tone, stick to the T 10 setting, if you want a bit more bottom end, use the captures with T below 10. There are three types of captures in this set: - Standard denoted with an "S" suffix - xStandard denoted with an "XS" suffix (more accurate, similar CPU hit as Standard) - Complex denoted with a "C" suffix (highest accuracy, highest CPU hit) If your computer can handle it, go for the complex captures, otherwise xSTD is a reasonable alternative to the standard architecture. Very high quality 1400 epochs complex captures with very low ESR numbers. Made with the TTS input V10 Test Signal and the hyper accuracy training architecture, which guarantees very low aliasing. Standard and xStandard captures were trained on tonezone3000.com with 1000 epochs. Signal Chain: UA Apollo X8 Line Output -> Lehle P-Split III Reamp Box -> Greuter Audio Boost V2 -> UA Apollo X8 Hi-Z Input Signal Chain Calibration: +12.4 dBu (Calibration Metadata Included)
