DSL20 'JCM800-Spec' Mod - No Fizz, All Punch

The EQ: Bass 6, Middle 8, Treble 6, Presence and Resonance 0 Gain was on 5 on the Crunch Capture, on 7 on the Lead Capture and on 4 on the Bad Horse Crunch Capture. I used a Tone City Bad Horse as clean boost on one capture. Hardware-modded DSL20HR, internally rebuilt to classic JCM800 (2203/2204) preamp topology for raw dynamics and uncompressed highs. Component-Level Mods: Snubber caps removed 22nF coupling cap (V1a to V1b) 470pF peaking cap V2b cathode cap removed Voltage dividers adjusted for authentic 800 gain staging Pure preamp/amp tone – use your own cabinet IR!
