This tone was captured using a Universal Audio Apollo Twin X audio interface together with the Fractal ICONS Plugin, modeling the classic Fender Princeton Reverb amplifier. The capture uses a dual-microphone blend with a Shure SM57 and a Royer R-121 ribbon microphone to achieve a balanced combination of clarity, warmth, and natural low-end response. This tone is very dynamic and responsive, with low ESR, allowing the player’s picking dynamics and articulation to translate naturally. It works great for clean tones, blues, expressive playing, and touch-sensitive styles.
