Description

FRIEDMAN BE-100 DELUXE paired with Zilla Oversized 4x12 loaded with UK made Celestion V30s Hey, we’re PlugnPlayTones — a not for profit, community-driven project dedicated to delivering authentic, mix-ready amp tones for both studio and live use. Our goal is to provide you tones that are tested and proven to work on both live and studio use. We regularly reach out to online guitar communities, run polls, and ask which amps they want captured. This way, the power stays in the community’s hands, and we do our best to capture each amp as faithfully as possible and only provide tones that are useful and tones that translates well in live and recording situations with minimal tweaking needed. This free NAM pack is a full-rig capture of a FRIEDMAN BE-100 DELUXE and Zilla Oversized 4x12 , captured professionally using modern studio techniques. To ensure the best possible sound we use multiple mics when capturing. Typically we use 2-4 mics and we blend them together to create one cohesive sound. Our Nams is ready to load into your NAM plugin or NAM-compatible loader pedals—no IRs needed, no heavy tweaking required. Just plug, play, and get inspired. Our Nams are also optimized for various devices (Valeton and Hotone ) , We use our own Tone Retention Capture & Training Process that reduces the clarity and tone loss that usually occur when loading or converting NAMs in some devices. Use it freely in your live sets, recordings, or projects. If you find value in this, you can support us by: 1. Purchasing Our Premium DI and FULL RIG Tone Pack Available on our Website for 6$ 2. Linking www.plugnplaytones.com in your video descriptions and you socials. 3. Sharing it with fellow musicians 4. Sharing our Free NAM files online ( just remember to give us credit 😊) 5. Donating to our website Getting a Free Copy of our Premium Version of Our Captures: For those gigging and studio musicians out there . If you are able to record a high quality video and audio using our free captures in a live and studio setting you can send us a copy of your video for a chance to win a premium version of our free capture you are using 😊. We’re offering Premium NAM Packs at a low price not to profit, but to keep this project sustainable — so we can keep obtaining new amps to capture and eventually collaborate with professional musicians to craft tones for every style. Thanks for being part of the journey. Let’s build this tone community together. READ THE GUIDE BELOW to get better tones and avoid volume issues. Our Tone packs are Calibrated for : -12dbfs/+12dbu input which based on our tests is the most common sweet spot  that works for most amp sims, modeler and capture loader. 1. Load the appropriate NAM file for your device (each one is labeled clearly).  For Nam or Tonex Plugins Users: 1. I recommend to use a free plugin like Youlean Loudness Meter before the plugin . Play normally while adjusting your interface input gain until your True Peak reads close to -12 dBFS. 2. Another option if you want a cleaner signal is play normally while adjust your interface input gain to the highest possible setting without clipping 3. Now play your guitar again while using the loudness meter plugin to know how much you need to subtract in the NAM or Tonex Plugin Input to maintain -12dbfs ( for example if the loudness meter plugin reads 0 dbfs you need to to subtract 12db in the input level of the nam or tonex plugin to maintain -12dbfs) 4. This is optional but if you're using the nam vst you can also enable the calibrate input to 12dbu in the settings Note : Its not a strict rule to aim for -12dbfs/+12dbu but Its always good to have a measureable starting point thats proven and tested to work for most people ,setups and devices when using our captures. Our goal as a starting point is to have a input level closest to what the model is expecting or trained to. 5. For Pedal Users Its a bit tricky to verify if you’re exactly at -12 dBFS or 12dbu . 1. However what you can easily do is load our captures labeled Edge of breakup 2. Play normally while adjusting device’s input gain until the amp reacts naturally. That should give you a good starting point for most of our captures. Note: This guide is more of a quick and easy guide that is proven and tested to work for most setups, devices and Is easy enough for everyone to follow to improve and get accurate guitar tones with our captures . We are aware that from a scientific standpoint its not the most accurate way of input gain staging. There are more advance guides out there for people who really want to delve deeper and spend time and effort to be scientifically accurate.
