Description
The preset is your ultimate tool for creating lush, ambient, and dynamic soundscapes, perfectly suited for modern worship music. Centered around the iconic chime and responsive breakup of a Matchless DC30, this preset utilizes the Matchstick Ch1 amp model to deliver a rich tonal foundation. This tone is built on a versatile parallel signal path, creating a wide, immersive stereo image that fills the space without becoming muddy. With three distinct snapshots—CLN, DRV, and DRV+—you can seamlessly move from pristine clean textures to saturated lead lines. Signal Chain Breakdown: The preset begins with a carefully selected chain to shape the core tone before splitting into two distinct paths for stereo depth and complexity. Mono Input Stage: Compressor: Kinky Comp - This compressor is first in the chain to add sustain and even out playing dynamics, providing a smooth and polished foundation. Drive: Heir Apparent - Based on the iconic Prince of Tone, this pedal serves as the main gain stage. Its gain is controlled by the snapshots, allowing you to go from a clean boost to a thick, overdriven sound. Amplifier: Matchstick Ch1 - The heart of the preset, capturing the bright, articulate, and touch-sensitive character of the Matchless DC30's first channel. Stereo Parallel Paths: After the amp, the signal splits into Path A and Path B to create a full stereo image. Path A (Left Side): IR (Impulse Response): IR 102 - A custom impulse response shapes the cabinet tone for this path. Delay: Vintage Digital - Set to a classic dotted-eighth note, this delay provides the rhythmic pulse essential for many worship songs. Reverb: Glitz - This reverb adds a beautiful, shimmering top-end and atmospheric decay, creating a spacious and ethereal soundscape. Path B (Right Side): IR (Impulse Response): IR 104 - A second, different impulse response is used to create a wide and distinct stereo cabinet feel. Delay: Transistor Tape - Set to a quarter note, this warm, analog-style tape delay adds a layer of rhythmic complexity and texture that complements the digital delay on the other path. The two paths are then joined together, with Path B panned hard right, resulting in a rich and expansive stereo field perfect for creating an immersive worship experience.
