Description

This was my Marshall Astoria Custom from the last year of production. It was my main amp until 2025 and is paired with an 80's Marshall 1966A cabinet with 2022 Vintage 30 in the top and a UK made heritage creamback on the bottom (mic'd for all captures with an E906 through my Cranborne Audio Camden preamps). I was put onto these amps by Bernie Marsden and Jim Kirkpatrick personally as they told me the Astoria line was going to be discontinued and to pick them up at the more sensible price of £1k as opposed to their launch price which was skyward of £2k. these are amazing and so fun to play. ignore the haters - 400 epochs is typically the point of diminishing return on crunchy tones and the sound of these speak for themselves!

I beg of you to consider doing input calibrated captures in the future and also do higher epochs (800-1000). These captures 100% deserve it.
