Description

I'm currently working on modeling my DSL40CR with simultaneous full-rig and head-only captures, keeping them all EQ-neutral. I'm planning to capture 16 models from this amp to cover all the primary usable tones you can get from it. This is one of those tones: Mayweather OD1. It's a punchy, precise palm-muted rhythm tone. Captured with an SM57 mic (about 2.5 inches off-center, slightly off-axis). This amp has the factory speaker (a Celestion V-Type), broken in after years of use. No reactive load devices were used, and no manual processing was done to either the sweep signal input file nor the output audio file used to train the model. I just recorded hot enough to get within -3 db of the sweep signal's RMS loudness. Like it or not, this is the raw sound that the DSL40CR produces :) Power Mode: High (40W) Channel Mode: Ultra OD1 Gain: 1.5 Volume: 3 Treble: 5 Middle: 5 Bass: 5 Presence: 4.5 Resonance: 5.5 Reverb: 0 Master: 3 This model was created using the nam gui trainer and the sweep-signal method (with T3K-sweep-v3.wav). 160 epochs. Hope you guys enjoy. More to come soon..
