Description

Interesting to note: this site is focused on captures of specific gear and a "collector" approach. Makes sense - follows the convention of all the modeling gear companies. Everyone is familiar with it. But it makes it difficult to group a 'mixed' pack of useful sounds centered on a musical genre, theme, or song. It is especially difficult to represent that type of theme graphically in a simple gear photo when a lot of different equipment was used for the different sounds. We'll see if the little cowboy guy makes the cut this time. :) These are photos of the actual gear used for the captures. This is a collection of (mostly) spaghetti western inspired full rig tones. Clean-ish to pushed to gnarly trombone-like single note riffs. Add your own spring reverb + tremolo (in that order) to really enjoy the full surf & garage rock experience. TIP: in the Tone3000 online NAM player you can set the IR to 'Fender Spring Reverb' when previewing these tone captures to get a better idea of the sounds as they'd actually be used. In 2025 I created a bunch of full rig captures using my base amps and various pedals along with some cabs (but mostly IRs). These were captured with Tonex. I wanted to have the same tones in NAM format for flexibility. So these are NAM captures of my Tonex captures. They turned out well and now I have the flexibility I wanted. Various gear appearances: Matchless Clubman Tyler Amps PT-14 Bad Cat 2-Tone preamp Boss WAZA craft FZ-1w fuzz RnFR Green Bomb fuzz Systec Harmonic Energizer clone Jangle Box compressor clone Crazy Horse fuzz clone Range Master clone Cubase: training signal -> Tonex -> capture file

these sound great, but the fact that they're all full rigs means you can't put a spring reverb between the Pre and the Pow/Cab!
