Supro Black Magick - Full Rig and DI - 11.5dBu - TTSV10

Here are captures of my Supro Black Magick 1695TJ combo: -DI captures using my Suhr Reactive Load -DI captures using the Jensen P12Q speaker as a load -Full Rig captures using a Beyerdynamic M201 on the P12Q (no IR needed) There are two input jacks to the amp: -Input 1+2 - provides 2 blendable channels with individual Volume 1 and Volume 2 knobs -Input 2 - the darker channel controlled by Volume 2 All settings are approximated from 0-10. The amp is provides varying levels of cleans up to about a setting of 7. A Volume of 8 and beyond gets crunchy. I’ve provided the following Volume settings: Vol.1 -5 Vol. 2-0: clean Vol.1 -7 Vol. 2-0: broken up clean Vol.1 -8 Vol. 2-0 : crunch Vol.1 -10 Vol. 2-0 : cranked channel Vol.1 -10 Vol. 2-5: more distortion Vol.1 -10 Vol. 2-8: even more distortion Vol.1 -10 Vol. 2-10: the most distortion out of the amp Vol. 2-5: clean normal channel Vol. 2-8: crunch normal channel Vol. 2-10: cranked normal channel The Tone control behaves as expected up to 7. At 8, the sound becomes significantly brighter and loses some bottom end. The DI captures using the P12Q speaker as a load were done at the following tone settings: 5, 7, 8, 10. The Full Rigs are provided with 2 on-axis mic positions: -M201a - 3.0” (7.62cm) from cap center -M201b - 3.5” (8.89cm) from cap center My chain for making the DI and Full Rig captures using the Jensen P12Q speaker as a load was the following: Steinberg UR824 Line Out – United Studio Technologies Replay Box at 11.5dBu - Supro Black Magick - Suhr Reactive Load Suhr Reactive Load Unbalanced Output - Warm Tonebeast Instrument In - Steinberg UR824 Line In Suhr Reactive Load Thru - Jensen P12Q - Beyerdynamic M201TG - Stam SA73 - Steinberg UR824 Line In The connection to the Thru output bypassed the Suhr Reactive Load’s internal load. Input calibration metadata was filled out for those who use it. Example Setting: DI Supro 1695TJ In1-2 V1-10 V2-8 T-7 P12Q -DI capture -Input 1+2 -Volume 1: 10 (cranked) -Volume 2: 8 (3:00) -Tone: 7 (2:00) -P12Q used as a load for the DI capture -Add an IR after the capture Impulse Responses coming shortly.
