The Benson Chimera is an amp loaded with rich harmonics, dynamic touch response, shimmering cleans, and smooth, singing overdrive with a unique blend of American warmth and British-inspired chime! We captured the entire gain range of this amp at all of the key points where it’s breakup, drive, and compression characteristics shift. Rather than simply capturing random amplifier settings, each gain level and EQ setting was carefully selected to represent a distinct and musical stage of the amplifier's response. The level of breakup/gain is represented by the number in the capture name: Clean (1), Edge of Breakup (2), Breakup (3), Driven (4), Driven + (5), Driven ++ (6). We are bringing new life into our captures by utilizing our XR studio processes, as used in our XR IR packs, to further enhance our captures.
