Description

ELK VKBA 125 Bass Amp. Settings: B - Bass M - Middle T - Treble Br - Brightness Switch S - Sound Effect The Manufacturer: ELK amplifiers were built in Japan by Miyuki Industrial Co. They originally started building tube amplifiers in 1953 under the name "Echo" before transitioning to the ELK brand name in the 1960s. The Transistion: In the very early 1970s, Miyuki stopped production, and the brand was taken over by Hoshino Gakki (the parent company of Ibanez). The 1973 Debut: Hoshino Gakki overhauled the lineup, turning the solid-state "Viking Bass" into a flagship series. If you look at the 1973/1974 Ibanez and ELK product catalogs, this exact amplifier appears fully styled as a sleek, solid-state beast.
