Description

This 12 inch 16 ohm speaker was pulled from an unknown Laney speaker cabinet. These impulse responses are designed to be blended together for metal. I never tried them for a clean sound. Experiment with combining them using the dynamic, condenser and ribbon captures. If you use these IRs in a mix, please send me a link to the track. I'd enjoy hearing how others implement them. Signal Chain - Behringer UMC404HD Audio Interface - Radial HP Studio Reamp Box - Mooer BabyBomb30 Power Amplifier - American Sound 1x12 Closed Back Speaker Cabinet - Microphone - GhostNote Audio Spectrum Thief IR Capture IR Naming Convention All captures were taken along the horizontal plane in the center of the speaker, in inches. I refer to this as Line 0. Example File Name: HH1280_BMB30_SM57_0_+0.5_+1.5_ON.wav First Group: Speaker Second Group: Power Amplifier Third Group: Microphone Fourth Group: Horizonal row (0 is the center of the speaker) Fifth Group: Horizontal position from center of dust cap Sixth Group: Distance away from grille Seventh Group: Axis of microphone In the example, I captured the IR at line 0, 0.5 inches to the right of center of the dust cap, 1.5 inches away from the grille. The microphone was positioned on axis.
