Liaztraht - Barren (Marshall Origin 2x12 57+NT1)

A capture of the Marshall Origin 2x12 I am using for a black metal album under the title Barren. It's loaded with the stock Seventy80 speakers and captured with an SM57 and NT1 Signature. Both mics placed off axis between the cone and edge. Because of the harshness these speakers produce, and the combo of 2 mics really enhanced the harshness after phase aligning each one, I used SSL's X-Phase to use an all pass on each mic to tame it down, and give a better response like a 57/MD421 combo would. The all passes used narrow Q's to give frequency specific phase cancelations of the harshest spots that EQ struggled with. The Raw cab IR features this correction without further processing, and each mixed tone uses just the black EQ on SSL's Native 4KE with the same mix settings I am using, including high and low pass filters. All EQs included a low shelf cutting a bit above the high pass, a small dip in the low mids, and a top end shelf Unfortunately, you can't capture static responses of compressors or saturation; but that is why I also released a full rig capture. Album is mixed using a fat and fuzzy boosted Orange CR120H (which I used the poweramp for the capture) but it sounds great behind amp sims with a metal flavor.
