Ibanez SD9 Mod (Tamed Beast Pedal)

The Ibanez Sonic Distortion 9 Mod is an official modification introduced during the pedal’s reissue. The “GAIN” and “MIDS” switches help tame the harsh high-end while greatly expanding its tonal versatility. Even with the mod, it took some time to dial this pedal in for a good capture. Getting the sweet spot on input output gain and volume is key during the capture process. What you hear here is a personal setting that works well across different amps. • 8 captures with the stock tone • 4 captures with the MIDS switch engaged More captures and pedal platforms are available on website The GAIN switch was left off for now — it gets a little too wild and sacrifices some clarity, especially with low tunings.
