We're excited to announce that LAVA STUDIO now offers native Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) support, powered by TONE3000. Our partnership brings the world's largest community of tones to one of the most innovative music devices in the guitar world.
You can now access TONE3000's constantly expanding universe of tones directly through the touchscreen of the LAVA STUDIO. Plug in and play through our massive library of tones with no pedals, computer, phone or speakers required. It’s the world’s first truly integrated TONE3000 experience, all built into one amp.
For the TONE3000 team, this is more than a new feature. LAVA MUSIC has been a close partner, and we've developed a great friendship with the LAVA team and their co-founder Louis along the way. With our partnership you can:

- Upload your own Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) files directly on-device
- Pair NAM captures with custom IR's
- Build complete signal chains inside LAVA STUDIO
- Practice, record, and create without a computer (or any other hardware)
This is an experience that has never existed before on a standalone device.
Native Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) A2 Support
Some products claim to support Neural Amp Modeler, but actually convert NAM files into proprietary formats that don't sound good. If you create captures on these devices, they won't work with any other platform. LAVA STUDIO doesn’t do that. It runs Neural Amp Modeler natively on-device with no conversion, so your tones sound incredible and stay compatible with any NAM-supported device.
LAVA STUDIO supports Architecture 2, or A2, the next generation of Neural Amp Modeler we announced last week. According to our tests, A2 is the most accurate amp modeler in history beating Neural DSP Quad Cortex, ToneX, and Line 6 in both quantitative tests and blind listening tests.
LAVA STUDIO runs A2-Lite, our architecture built specifically for embedded hardware, and it outperforms every commercial modeler available today.
This means your TONE3000 tones deliver feel and dynamic response so authentic they're virtually indistinguishable from the real thing– and now they're all available to you on LAVA STUDIO.

LAVA integrated the TONE3000 API, which allows plugins, pedals, and amps to bring the massive TONE3000 library and account experience directly into their products. New tones and updates flow automatically, so your LAVA STUDIO keeps getting better as TONE3000 expands. Availability
TONE3000 support will be available on LAVA STUDIO through lavaOS 1.7 starting today, June 10, 2026. We're excited to see what the TONE3000 community creates with LAVA STUDIO.
