NEURIG: TONE3000 and NAM A2 Come to ZOOM
ZOOM’s new guitar multi-FX pedal puts the world’s largest library of NAM captures on your pedalboard, and lets you capture your own gear with NAM A2.

In 1990, ZOOM released its very first product, the 9002 guitar multi-effects processor. Thirty-six years later, we’re honored to partner with them on NEURIG, a new guitar multi-FX pedal that brings Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) A2 and TONE3000 to your pedalboard.
We couldn’t be more excited about what this means for the TONE3000 and NAM community. Open-source NAM technology and the captures you’ve shared are now on a pedal from one of the biggest names in guitar effects.
We’ve also worked with ZOOM to build TONE3000’s NAM capture service right into the pedal. Starting in December 2026, you’ll be able to plug in your amp or pedal, hit capture, and get a finished NAM A2 capture back over Wi-Fi.
Best of all, NEURIG is just $299.99 USD, so more artists than ever can play the world’s largest library of the best-sounding tones.
"We didn't want to save the good technology for an expensive pedal. NEURIG gives every player neural modeling and a massive community tone library in something they can pick up and play anywhere."
Eric Battin, VP, Sales / Planning, Zoom North America
"Thirty years ago, ZOOM launched the 505, the world's first compact multi-effects pedal, putting great tone within reach of more musicians. TONE3000 is honored to build on that legacy through this partnership, furthering our mission to make music creation universally accessible."
Stanley Vergilis, Co-Founder and CEO, TONE3000

What is the ZOOM NEURIG?
NEURIG is a guitar multi-FX pedal with amp sims, NAM captures, cabinet IRs, and 139 built-in effects, plus a looper, tuner, and USB audio interface.
Plug it into headphones, powered speakers, or a PA, or run it into your amp alongside the pedals you already own.
Powered by NAM A2 and the TONE3000 API
NEURIG is powered by NAM A2, the most accurate and best-sounding amp modeling technology on the planet.
We put NAM A2 through a series of quantitative tests and a 1,000-person blind listening test using the MUSHRA methodology. It beat Neural DSP V2, IK Multimedia ToneX V2, and Line 6 Proxy by a wide margin across every test.
"When we built NAM A2, a pedal like NEURIG is exactly what we were designing for. Artists get the most accurate modeling tech out there, in a pedal you can throw in a gig bag."
Woodbury Shortridge, Co-Founder and CTO, TONE3000
Amp Modeler Blind Listening Test
Over 1,000 participants compared recordings of real gear to anonymized digital models using the MUSHRA blind listening methodology. Higher scores mean the model was rated as sounding closer to the original amp, pedal, or signal chain.

ZOOM integrated the TONE3000 API, which lets plugins, pedals, and amps bring the TONE3000 library and account experience directly into their products. New tones and updates flow automatically, so NEURIG keeps getting better as TONE3000 grows.
If you’re building an amp, pedal, plugin, DAW, or other music product, you can integrate TONE3000 too. Check out the API documentation.

How TONE3000 works with NEURIG
To connect TONE3000 to NEURIG, you’ll need SessionZ Pedal, ZOOM’s free mobile app for iOS and Android. Download it on your phone or tablet, and the entire TONE3000 library is a few taps away.
Sign in with your TONE3000 account to pick up right where you left off, with your favorites, recently used tones, created tones, and private tones all on your pedal.
Here’s how it works.
- Pair your phone or tablet with NEURIG over Bluetooth.
- Open TONE3000 through SessionZ Pedal.
- Browse or search for a tone.
- Load your selection onto the pedal.
- Add effects and save your RIG.
Once it’s loaded, a capture works like any other block in your chain. Put a drive in front of a captured amp, add delay and reverb after it, or pair an amp-only capture with a cabinet IR.

Capture your own amps and pedals
TONE3000’s capture service is coming to NEURIG in December 2026.
NEURIG records your gear through its send and return jacks and uploads the recording to TONE3000 over Wi-Fi. TONE3000 trains the NAM A2 model in the cloud and sends the finished capture straight back to your pedal.
Dial in a sound you love on your own gear, capture it, and take it with you anywhere.

DNA Engine, NAM captures, and cabinet IRs
NEURIG gives you three ways to build a sound, and each one shines in a different way.
| Technology | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| DNA Engine amp sim | Recreates amps and effects, including how their controls respond | When you want to explore sounds by adjusting a modeled amp or pedal |
| NAM capture | Recreates real gear at the settings used during capture | When you want the sound of a particular amp, pedal, or signal chain |
| Cabinet IR | Reproduces a cabinet and microphone response | When you want to pair an amp sound with a particular cab and mic combination |
NEURIG amps and effects
NEURIG includes 139 effects covering drives, modulation, delays, reverbs, dynamics, filters, and more.
Here’s a taste of what’s included.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Amp sims | MS 45OS, FD Twin-R, Recti Dual, Match 30 |
| DNA Engine amp sims | MS 1959 In1, JZ 120 Ch1, FRD 100DX HBE, PVY 5i5 |
| DNA Engine drives | Super Drive One, Ray Drive, Blue Drive 2, Civil Muff v2 |
| Other effects | Noise Gate, Parametric EQ, compressors, drives, and filters |
These are ZOOM’s model names. Check the full effect list to see the gear behind each one.

Cabinet IRs
NEURIG includes 22 Multi-Layer cabinet IRs, each built from three IRs recorded at different volumes so the cab responds as you dig in. Pick a mic and placement to dial in your sound.
You also get 50 slots for your own IRs, including any from TONE3000.
Use the included cabinets as a starting point, or load your own IRs to find the right match for an amp capture.
RIGs, Programs, and switching
A RIG is your complete virtual pedalboard, with all your amps, effects, and settings.
A Program is a snapshot of settings and on/off states within that RIG.
Each RIG holds up to 14 effects and four Programs. Put your clean, rhythm, lead, and ambient sounds on the four footswitches and you’re ready for the whole song.
Switching between Programs is gapless, and delay and reverb trails ring out naturally.
NEURIG also supports signal splitting, so you can run effects in parallel for bigger, layered tones.
What else does SessionZ Pedal do?
Beyond loading tones, SessionZ Pedal adds tools for editing, practicing, and playing along.
RIG AI
Describe the sound you want, or name a song, and RIG AI builds a RIG for you to start from.
SessionZ Play
Play along with YouTube or tracks on your phone, and control playback from the footswitches without taking your hands off your guitar.
AI stem separation
Extract a guitar part to learn it, or remove it from a track and play along yourself.
Rig management
Edit and manage your sounds from your phone.
SessionZ Store
The SessionZ Store opens in December 2026 with more DNA Engine amps and effects to buy. It’s separate from the TONE3000 library, which stays free.
Using NEURIG live
NEURIG includes stereo outputs, MIDI In/Out, and a connection for an external expression pedal or footswitch.
The effects loop supports the 4-Cable Method, so you can put some effects in front of your amp and others in its effects loop.
And with signal splitting, you can send different feeds to your stage amp and the PA.
Practicing with NEURIG
The built-in battery gives you about 4.5 hours of playing time. Plug in headphones for quiet practice, or connect powered speakers.
The tuner handles standard and alternate tunings, and the 45-second looper includes overdub, undo, and redo.
Bluetooth playback lets you jam along with music from your phone.

Recording with NEURIG
NEURIG works as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface. Connect it over USB-C to record into your DAW or a compatible mobile device.
It records at 48 kHz in 32-bit float or 24-bit.

NEURIG FAQ
Thank you, ZOOM
A huge thank you to the ZOOM team for partnering with us. And thank you to everyone who has shared a capture or IR on TONE3000.
Your contributions help musicians discover gear they might never have the chance to play in person. We’re excited to bring those sounds to more pedalboards.
