TONE3000 Comes to Chaos Audio's Stratus and Nimbus
Browse TONE3000 and load Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) A2 captures natively on the Stratus and Nimbus.
Today, Chaos Audio announced native Neural Amp Modeler support across its product lineup. The Stratus effects pedal now runs NAM Architecture 2 (A2) captures natively, and the upcoming Nimbus smart amplifier will ship with A2 support later this year.
Both devices connect directly to TONE3000, so you can browse and load NAM captures from inside the Chaos app. That means you can take tones from the world's largest library of NAM profiles and run them straight on Chaos Audio hardware.
"We've been working toward this for a long time. Stratus and Nimbus were always designed to be more than just hardware, they're platforms. NAM support means you can now run studio-quality amp captures on your pedalboard or through your amp, alongside all your other effects, without hauling gear or compromising on tone."
– Landon McCoy, Founder and CEO of Chaos Audio

Nimbus: A Smart Amp with Native NAM
Nimbus is Chaos Audio's 100-watt smart amplifier, shipping later this year with native A2-Lite support.
It pairs 100 watts of power with a custom angled speaker design and full Chaos Audio integration, bringing TONE3000's library of captures to the stage, rehearsal room, and studio. Practice, record, or perform with NAM captures through a real amp, no laptop, separate modeler, or complicated routing required.

Native A2-Lite, Not Converted
Some products convert NAM files into proprietary formats that compromise quality. Chaos Audio devices run A2-Lite captures natively, preserving the dynamics, feel, and frequency response that make Neural Amp Modeler the most accurate amp modeling technology available.
Because NAM is open source, the captures you load on Stratus or Nimbus work anywhere else NAM is supported.
AI FX Builder: TONE3000 Integration for Amp Tone Modeling
Chaos Audio's AI FX Builder lets you create custom effects by describing what you want in plain English. It generates FAUST DSP code and compiles it into a working effect within minutes.
When your prompt calls for an amp model or gain-based pedal, AI FX Builder searches TONE3000 for the best-matching NAM capture. It uses that capture as a tonal reference and models it in FAUST code, baking the amp character directly into the effect.
For example, prompt "Fender Twin clean with tape delay and spring reverb" and you get a complete, self-contained FAUST effect. The AI analyzes a real Fender Twin-style capture from TONE3000, models its tone, and combines it with AI-generated delay and reverb in pure DSP code.
Native A2-Lite playback and AI FX Builder are two separate Chaos Audio features, but both integrate with TONE3000.
Powered by the TONE3000 API
Chaos Audio's NAM integration, both native A2-Lite playback and AI FX Builder's tone modeling, is made possible by the TONE3000 API.
The API connects hardware and software directly to TONE3000's constantly growing universe of community-created tones. With the TONE3000 API, you can allows your users to browse and load our massive library of NAM captures and IR's directly in your products.
If you build hardware or software, check out the API Docs.
