Jordan Valeriote Launches NAM Rig, Powered by TONE3000
A free amp sim plugin that lets you play through hyper-accurate neural models of real amplifiers, pedals, and cabinets directly in your DAW.
Today, acclaimed mixing engineer and producer Jordan Valeriote of Black Salt Audio and Hardcore Music Studio, together with developer Ben Adams, launched NAM Rig, a free amp sim built to make exploring and playing TONE3000 tones effortless.
NAM Rig connects to TONE3000, the world’s largest library of NAM captures and IRs, giving you instant access to iconic gear like a 1965 Vox AC30 Top Boost, 1977 Fender Super Reverb, Marshall 1959 Hand Wired and countless more.
Browse 500K+ tones, combine them into complete virtual rigs, and load any tone into your session with a single click without leaving the plugin.
NAM Rig is available now for all major DAWs and as a standalone app.

The Ultimate Free Amp Sim
NAM Rig gives you everything you need to build and play complete virtual rigs inside one plugin. Its three-slot signal chain follows a familiar setup:
Pedal → Amp → Cab/IR
Combine models from the TONE3000 community, then shape your sound with global gate, gain, three-band EQ, mix, and output controls.
NAM Rig also includes:
- A built-in tuner
- Custom preset saving
- Light and dark interface themes
- Adjustable interface zoom
- Automatic tone loading while browsing
- Automatic Plugin Delay Compensation (PDC)
- Windows ASIO support

Built-In TONE3000 Browser
The TONE3000 library lives inside NAM Rig, allowing you to browse and load tones without downloading files, managing them manually, or switching between apps.
Sign in to your TONE3000 account to:
- Search and sort tones by trending, newest, best match, or most downloaded
- Filter by gear type, including amps, cabinets, and pedals
- Load any TONE3000 tone from the community
- Load any private tone from your account
- Save and organize favorites that sync with your TONE3000 account
You can also drag and drop your local NAM files or access them through NAM Rig’s local file browser.
NAM A2 Support
NAM Rig supports NAM Architecture 2 (A2), the latest generation of Neural Amp Modeler. In our blind listening tests, A2 outperformed Neural DSP, IK Multimedia's ToneX, and Line 6's Proxy by a wide margin.
A2 comes in two sizes. A2-Full delivers maximum quality, while A2-Lite runs at significantly lower CPU usage and still sounds amazing. You can toggle between them in NAM Rig at any time. Choose A2-Lite when you want to run more instances across your session, or switch to A2-Full when you need maximum accuracy.
Powered by the TONE3000 API
NAM Rig's built-in browser is made possible by the TONE3000 API, which connects hardware and software directly to TONE3000's constantly growing universe of community-created tones. With the TONE3000 API, you can let your users browse and load tones from our massive library of NAM captures and IRs directly in your products.
If you build hardware or software, check out the API Docs.
