Description

Willy's KSR Ceres One Mini Preamp Pedal Collection I used to own a KSR Ceres Pedal a few years ago. For the first few months of using the pedal, i did not achieve any notable results however, once i realized how well the preamp is voiced to cut through crushing drummers and big bass players in techy and modern metal: I heard the KSR sound. The Ceres is a fine example of how an amp designer like KSR solves problems for recording and gigging artists; you must try these captures in a mix or with a live band to hear how well the pedal has been voiced. These captures are a small sample of this recording tool. This pack captures the KSR Ceres One, a preamp distilling the grind, girth and guts of coveted full-sized KSR amplifiers. These captures feature the specific "V2" layout (where Up=Thick, Down=Fat) with extra gain on tap compared to the original run. All the captures have Gain and EQ at noon. 🎛 Signal Chain Captured with reference-class hardware, using a RME Babyface Pro FS and a United Studio Technologies Replay Box. We utilized the Replay's Harmonic setting at max gain—The Replay Box/Signal Art Reamp Boxes are not transparent; they add harmonics. Calibration In: 4.95 dbu Out: 11.27 dbu 📂 The Captures Pristine cleans, ranging from warm (tone < noon) to bright (tone > noon). Clean1 - Pedal Platform Clean2 - Chimey Dynamic, open rock tones covering Thick, Tight, and Fat responses. Rhythm1 - Ares/Orthos Crunch - Thick Rhythm2 - Ares/Orthos Crunch - Tight Rhythm3 - Ares/Orthos Crunch - Fat The aggressive modern metal standard. From djent-ready precision to a massive wall of sound. Rhythm4 - Artemis/Gemini Red Mode - Thick Rhythm5 - Artemis/Gemini Red Mode - Tight Rhythm6 - Artemis/Gemini Red Mode - Fat Saturated, liquid sustain for soaring leads across all three Feel positions. These tones excel at Riffing as much as they help solos cut in a dense mix. Lead1 - Colossus Lead 1 - Thick Lead2 - Colossus Lead 1 - Tight Lead3 - Colossus Lead 1 - Fat Perfect for fans of Jeff Loomis, Keith Merrow, and articulate heavy tones. This incredibly tight circuit loves down tuning and extended range instruments. I highly recommend picking up this pedal to try out its range of tones, pairing it with a power amplifier or interesting post-pedal color boxes, Tube Drives, Exciters or other dynamics pedals into an IR to craft your chain.
