For the record I use this tone in Ibanez BTB 5 strings with custom PASSIVE P Bass pickup in the Neck and PASSIVE Fat Jazz pickup in the Bridge. (Made in USA by 916 Pickups) Both pups are wired to its own volume then to output. No pre amp, no tone knob. The tones here are my actual working rig, not experiments: the "Dean Bass Tight" capture family, pulled straight from the Axe-Fx II XL+ I've gigged for a decade — full rig, amps only, and the cab crossover, captured and level-matched so the pieces recombine like the real thing. As heard on Prong's "Live and Uncleansed" and on stage most nights of the year. Clean lows, filthy highs, and all the shimmer. I utilize this tone mainly to have all the sounds the FOH guy needs and enough treble to poke through the in-ear mix during Live Performance. The idea is audible pic attack with clean lows.
