Description

I was testing my newly acquired 10-band "Tonegroup" Sonicake EQ, when I was able to get this big bottomed, scooped and agressively bright tone that sounded great for E standard thrash metal riffing that sounded a lot like Metallica to my ears. Unfortunately my son managed to get his little mischievous hands on my eq pedal so the exact settings were lost. Basically the amp tonestack knobs were pretty scooped but with enough mids to keep it beefy, Resonance knob was probably around 5 to 6 and Presence higher than 7 but lower than a hard 10. EQ settings were something similar to: Boost: 62.5hz, 125hz, 250hz. Dip: 500hz, 1Khz Dip even more: 2Khz Boost: 4Khz, 8Khz, 16Khz No IR needed as it includes the cabinet and microphone capture. There are 3 versions: one mic'ed with a centered SM57, one with an Audio Technica AT2021, and one that combines the two mics. **These captures are not intended to emulate historically or too accurately the tone of any of Metallica's albums guitar tone** Just for having fun, creating your own thrash metal songs, covers or playing live over a loud PA.
