Harley Benton w Celestion Vintage 30 (SM57, Audio Technica 2021/2020)

Impulse response pack created in March, 2020. It started as an experiment using the white noise technique to create them. I think I actually used the power amp of my 6505 or a solid state amp from an amplified mixer, not really sure. What I'm really sure of, are the microphones used: -Shure SM57 - Audio Technica AT2020 - Audio Technica AT2021 I used only the right speaker from the Harley Benton G212 Vintage cabinet as it is brighter and more "full range" sounding than the left one which is pretty dark and vintage sounding. There are 12 IR's in total, 4 different positions for each of the three microphones: - Center of the cone - Center slighly to the middle (sweetspot) - Between center and edge - Edge of the cone They were recorded looking straight as near and touching the grill cloth, carefully placed to ensure the capsules were in a very similar distance to the cab so several impulses can be used at once in an IR loader, without causing much phase cancellation issues. Recorded in REAPER, rendered format is 24 bit, 44,1khz sample rate. 4368 samples long (I didn't set this on purpose, I just edited and tested the final lenght until it sounded good). No post EQ was applied to any of the IR's. Tested it with plugins against recording/reamping through the same amplifier using the same position and microphone and there were little to no differences while using mid to high gain tones. They work well to darken or make clean tones more realistic or for high gain tones. Best sounding if used combined. I have tested it with a multiple IR loader that can load up to 6 impulse responses with different combinations of the 12 IR's available in this package and the tone was massive, no noticeable phase cancellation issues, they just sum up to a fuller, broader sound. The embedded video from my band "My Evilness Reached More After I Died" uses a combination of the SM57 Center position and the SM57 Edge position on the rhytm guitars.
