Barbol Algal - Algal Bloom Style Overdrive/Fuzz

A collection of experimental bass captures from a handmade Barbol pedal inspired by the Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom circuit. This is a personal clone, not an original Fuzzhugger product, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Fuzzhugger. The collection explores both M1 and M2 selector positions across carefully chosen settings. Its sounds range from organic fuzz, smooth overdrive and touch-sensitive breakup to crystalline cleans, transparent boost, gated synth textures, layered harmonics and unusual evolving responses. The pedal’s Level, Gain, Bias, Gate and Clean controls are highly interactive. Small adjustments can radically alter its saturation, dynamics, sustain, gating and clean-layer behavior. Each model therefore represents a distinctive musical or experimental sound rather than an exhaustive combination of every control position. The model names describe the character and imagery evoked by each setting. All captures were recorded through the Darkglass Anagram FX Loop at 48 kHz / 24-bit mono. ## Barbol Algal — Model Settings Because the controls are highly interactive, even small adjustments can produce significant changes in texture, dynamics and saturation.
