I was aiming for the tone on "Automatic Death Protocol". Every guitar will sound different, this sounds just like it on my custom Strat. You don't really even need to add the "broken" tone, but it does sound closer when u layer that in with it on a separate layer. Also, I didn't add in the distortion pedal in front of this, which I used the Fortin Cali Gate and distortion which are necessarry to get the full heaviness from this tone. Also experimented with some detuning stuff in front of the amp, which would be really good for the chugs. Just try cranking up Fortin Cali's distortion, until you like the chugs. Make sure the GATE is up high enough to cover the noise when you aren't playing.
