Description

A capture of my build of a 5F1/5F2A (Champ/Princeton) mutt head, with 5F1 settings only. There’s an option for a 25uF V1A cathode bypass cap (factory-installed despite omission in 5F1 schematic), or none (per Fender 5F1 schematic). Calibrated for 11.5dBu=0dBFS. These were trained at 1000 Epochs. Capturing equipment used: Steinberg UR824 Audio Interface, DIYRE L2A reamp box, Suhr Reactive Load. I uploaded the following IRs for use: WGS G8C - closest of the 3 to a stock Champ experience https://tonehunt.org/OutmodedElectronics/2ad81426-bf85-4386-bb08-7e403fc4a074 Weber 10A125 - a 10” speaker for larger Tweed amps https://tonehunt.org/OutmodedElectronics/d3fddd41-80ed-468b-aa49-4469032c5f8a Mojotone BV-30H - a G12H30-inspired speaker, but found in the tweedy Swart STR amp https://tonehunt.org/OutmodedElectronics/f82c5d81-6ac3-4bab-9b4b-c83d0346b7de With my single coil guitars, I am getting different shades of clean from 2 to 6 with the 25uF cap. The amp transitions to a crunch at 7 and 8. Settings of 9 and 10 are more raucous and need the more careful IR selection to tame them. I think the real amp sounds best with single coils, so backing off NAM’s input gain with humbuckers may work for you. EQ to trim lows in front of NAM might help with humbuckers as well. Use the Normalize slider to even out output volume levels, since I captured the output to my preferred mixing levels. A bit of info about the amp: -I used Classictone Power and Output Transformers. -Resistors are metal film to minimize noise.

This is one of the best in the TONE3000 community for me. Question: is it possible to create 44.1kHz captures/profiles? I've tried in Google Collab but I couldn't run the code with input and output .wav files in 44.1kHz and 24-bit. It would be a game changer for multi effetcs units only running on 44.1 and converting with aliasing.
