Description
This set features 66 unique captures of my Dumble ODS #102 Robben Ford clone. I used a Kauffmann Strat with slightly overwound vintage SSS pickups, a Maybach Tele with vintage Amber pickups and a Gibson SG with slightly overwound PAF Duanebucker Plus Pickups by Zhangbucker to dial in the tones. This amp has three switches, namely rock, mids and bright. While the latter two are self-explanatory, the rock switch needs further explanation: It basically adjusts the tonestack of the amp and leads to higher gain as well as more top-end. The opposite position of Rock is Jazz, which has quite a bit less of the two attributes I listed before. It has two inputs as well, FET and normal. For this set, I stayed with the normal input in order to preserve the tube tone as much as possible. The "Ford" designation is mainly used for settings where only the "Rock" mode is engaged and the "Carlton" designation is mainly used for settings where both the "Rock" and "Mids" switches are engaged. "All Switches" referes to settings where all three switches are engaged. This set covers a lot of nuances, it's best to pick out the captures that work with your own guitars and leave the rest be. Some of these captures have too much low end for a humbucker, others are way too bright for a Strat etc. and the nuances between the different captures can be rather small, i.e. the bass knob is turned down a couple steps or the input gain is at 4.5 instead of 3 etc. There are three types of captures in this set: - Standard denoted with an "S" suffix - xStandard denoted with an "XS" suffix (more accurate, similar CPU hit as Standard) - Complex denoted with a "C" suffix (highest accuracy, highest CPU hit) If your computer can handle it, go for the complex captures, otherwise xSTD is a reasonable alternative to the standard architecture. Very high quality 1400 epochs complex captures with very low ESR numbers. Made with the TTS input V10 Test Signal and the hyper accuracy training architecture. Standard and xStandard captures were trained on tonezone3000.com with 1000 epochs. All the output clips of this set were generated with the TTSv10 test signal, which results in much lower aliasing. Signal Chain: UA Apollo X8 Line Output -> Lehle P-Split III Reamp Box -> Dumble ODS #102 Ford Clone -> Suhr Reactive Load -> UA Apollo X8 Hi-Z Input Signal Chain Calibration: +12.4 dBu (Calibration Metadata Included)
