A MXR 10-Band EQ was placed on the output to replicate the impedance curve a speaker cabinet would impose on the circuit, retaining the tonal shaping of a power amp without its saturation or compression. The goal was a firmer, tighter preamp response with full control left to the user — your IR, your power amp sim, your call. The gear in the photo is not for display. The Friedman, the TS808, and the MXR have done somewhere between 200 and 300 shows together. What you're hearing is road-worn and road-proven. All profiles are cab-free. Pair with your IR of choice. **Classic Rock** — BE channel at gain 5, treble 4, mid 5, bass 4. The sweet spot between crunch and clarity. Think AC/DC on steroids, Zeppelin pushed hard. Responsive to picking dynamics and cleans up beautifully with the guitar volume. **High Gain** — gain maxed, EQ at 6/6/6 😈. The BE channel with no apologies — tight, aggressive, and surprisingly articulate even at full gain. This is the brown sound in its natural habitat. Early Van Halen would feel right at home, if Van Halen had tuned down and played faster. **808 Boosted** — same settings with a real MXR TS808 in front, drive at 2, tone at 4, volume maxed. The TS acting as a clean mid push rather than a distortion source, tightening the low end and adding harmonic focus right where the BE channel loves it. The brown sound's meaner younger brother — the one that listens to Slayer instead of Van Halen. Bring your 7-string. **Included IR** — a Marshall cab loaded with V30 and Electro-Voice speakers, blended to sit somewhere between Slash and Zakk Wylde.
