Can you do the exact same captures without a microphone = only the amp head?
"Whether you need an FX loop depends on how you want to use NAM (Neural Amp Modeler).
If you want to capture the Marshall DSL40 with NAM
No FX loop is required. The typical capture chain is:
Guitar → DSL40 input → speaker output → load box → audio interface → NAM capture
The important part is a reactive load box (or load with line out) connected to the speaker output. You should never connect the speaker output directly to your interface."// Can NAM model the entire amp?

Preamp only (using the FX Send if available)
Entire amp (preamp + power amp) using a reactive load
