Description

This NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) profile capture for Tone3000 immortalizes the raw, organic character of a legendary 1979 Marshall JMP 2203 Master Volume 100W Lead, dialed in right at its natural edge of breakup. Recorded professionally at EM Estudis in Terrassa, the amp was pushed through a massive Mesa/Boogie 4x12 cabinet, delivering a crushing low-end punch, roaring mids, and striking clarity. Microphoned using an industry-standard Shure SM57 positioned on-axis directly centered on the speaker cone, this capture precisely retains the direct transient attack, upper-midrange bite, and crunchy grain characteristic of classic British tone. The result is a direct, highly articulate, and dynamic profile that responds effortlessly to picking dynamics and guitar volume adjustments. Recommended: using a booster pedal in front (Klon-style or transparent overdrive) to push the capture into rich, harmonic saturation, tightening the low end and adding effortless lead sustain.
