Description
SETTINGS CHI: P6 B0 M10 T6 VI8 VII0 DESCRIPTION A highly authentic clone of the legendary MRSH JT100 amp with all era correct components going down right to the correct date codes. This is the amp of early Hendrix, Cream, Free, Who, AC/DC - literally all the big acts of the day used the JT100 amps as Marshall quickly became a standard on the big stages of Rock music. It has in some regard similar traits to a JT45, but at the same time it is an entirely different beast. It has an attack like no other Marshall - while having a similar bold character, it sounds stronger, tighter and the notes have a "cluck" to them, a nice definition around the attack that the smaller amps don't have and that, while being more direct and harder never sounds harsh or too much "in your face". It sounds particularly great with a Strat neck pickup set to a semi-clean style of tone along the lines Hendrix's "clean" tones. With a Strat this is the sound of Monterey and Are You Experienced. Add a fuzz and it becomes a wild boar that is on the edge of uncontrollable, but still very musical.
