Mesa Boogie Mark V - JabaTone

This amp is a custom ordered Mesa Boogie Mark V from 2013 with hot white bronco vinyl. The cab is a Mesa OS 4x12 slant cab bought secondhand in 2012 on Craigslist, it was advertised as "with Celestion speakers" which ended up being two Celestion G12K-85s and two WGS HM 75s. All captures are coming from the upper right speaker of the cab which is one of the G12K-85s. I've also run the Knuckle Puck 20/20 Overdrive pedal in the chain for some of the captures for a little extra oomf. All captures recorded with an SM57. I captured all of the tones I'm using in an album I am currently recording which includes all three channels of the amp, plus an additional channel 3 setting, each with/without the 20/20 Overdrive pedal engaged plus with/without the pedal's boost mode on. This is broken down in the name of each setting, and I've outlined each below. I currently am six-tracking rhythms on my album with all three channels (not including CH 3 IV) with the pedals OD and boost engaged for some very Green Day American Idiot inspired toneage just in case that's your cup of tea. Mesa Mark V CH 1: This is Channel 1 set to FAT and Normal 2020 DR includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged, no boost 2020 DR BST includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged with boost This is the cleanest channel which gets a little crunchy with the OD pedal going. Mesa Mark V CH 2: This is Channel 2 set to CRUNCH and MARK I THICK 2020 DR includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged, no boost 2020 DR BST includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged with boost This channel gets pretty gnarly, heavy mids and really fills out the tone when quad or even six tracking. Mesa Mark V CH 3 IV: This is Channel 3 set to Mark IV and Normal 2020 DR includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged, no boost 2020 DR BST includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged with boost This is a more scooped highish gain tone, I mostly just use this for leads. Mesa Mark V CH 3 EX: This is Channel 3 set to EXTREME and Normal 2020 DR includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged, no boost 2020 DR BST includes the 2020 overdrive pedal engaged with boost This is a fairly thick highish gain tone. This goes great underneath channel 2 for quad or six tracking rhythms.
