DI — direct amp captures for use with your own cabinet IRs. Five selected tones from the Modern, Vintage and Clean modes of a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Multi-Watt. The focus was on keeping the Rectifier’s weight and gritty texture while finding the right balance of clarity and cut. The selection includes pedal-free tones alongside BOSS SD-1 and Browne Amplification Protein OD variations, chosen through hands-on playing. These direct amp captures do not include cabinet or microphone sound. Models labelled SD-1 or Protein OD include the named pedal in the captured signal chain.
