Orange Micro Terror - Headphone out (Guitar)-12AX7

Another Orange Micro Terror amp head capture, recorded using the same setup as my previous capture. The signal was split using a Millenium DI-33 Active DI Box: one signal was sent directly to the Scarlett Solo as a clean DI reference, while the second signal was routed through the Orange Micro Terror. The amp’s headphone output was then recorded back into the Scarlett Solo. For this capture, I used a Fender Player Series Telecaster. Three of the captures were recorded with a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal placed in front of the amp, providing additional gain and a more aggressive character. As with the previous capture, the Micro Terror's headphone output does not include an integrated cab sim, making it easy to pair the amp with a wide variety of cabinet simulations. As a future project, I plan to replace the stock 12AX7 preamp tube with a Sovtek 5751 to explore how the lower gain structure affects the amp's character and response.
