To get the full weight, compression, and tube saturation of both the preamp and power amp sections, this Rockerverb 50 was cranked into a load box and paired with a studio-favorite impulse response: a 2x12 loaded with Celestion M65 Creambacks, tracked with a Shure SM57. The pairing balances the Rockerverb’s signature thick, chewy British gain and massive low-end authority with the warm vintage midrange punch and smooth top-end roll-off of the M65. Expect everything from lush edge-of-breakup grit to wall-of-sound distortion with zero digital fizz.
