This was recorded with the output of an audio interface into the mic of the cassette recorder, and the monitoring output going into the input of the interface With the volume knob on the cassette player around half way... It has an Automatic level control. This creates almost a sort of compressor, and adds a lofi grit to the sound. Probably best for shoegaze or lofi vocals/clean guitar.
