Description

Prolude D750 “The Little Brick” & KO 115 – UA SD-1 / Shure SM57 Captures Captured from a Prolude D750 “The Little Brick” bass head paired with a Prolude KO 115 1×15 bass cabinet. The Little Brick features a tube preamp built around a single 6N2P-EV tube, with passive Bass and Treble controls. Its Class D power section delivers up to 750 watts into 2.66 ohms, all in a compact head weighing just 2.2 kg. For these captures, the tone controls were set to the manufacturer’s recommended neutral settings: Bass at 9 o’clock and Treble at 10 o’clock. These positions provide the most linear response. This collection features two separately recorded microphone captures: • UA SD-1 – KO 115 cabinet miked with a Universal Audio SD-1. • Shure SM57 – KO 115 cabinet miked with a Shure SM57. Each version captures the amp and cabinet through a different microphone, offering two perspectives on the same setup. The microphones were recorded separately and are not blended. A separate DI-only capture of this amplifier is also available in my Tone3000 library.
