I really like this Super Reverb - especially 8 SM57+R121 v75 t7.5 m9.0 b5.0. You can get a really good Derek Trucks tone with some minor tweaking. Try turning up the input knob all the way to 20 db. It will boost overdrive a bit without out messing with the core tone (in my opinion). For even more fun, I add SSL X saturator (a little grit), UAD Fairchild compressor (for slide), and TDR Nova (additional sustain). With a humbucker guitar like a SG or Les Paul (which I use), you can get very close to a live Derek Trucks tone if you play wihout a pick and can match some of his phrasing. I use Valhalla Room reverb. No additional IRs needed since this amp capture has them baked in.
