Description
Syn20IR captures with Tone King Imperial MKII module installed. I'll be updating this with more captures overtime. Channel 1 is like a Deluxe Reverb but with a more sculpted tone overall (a little more mids, a tighter low end, less harsh highs). Channel 2 is like a more general "Tweed" tone. Probably the closest comparison is a 5e3 Tweed Deluxe (which I believe it's based on) but with a lot more range and less fuzziness/wildness--but its not as close as a match as Channel 1 is to a sculpted Deluxe Reverb. It can even get into early Marshall tones when the midbite knob (simply marked as mb here) is pushed I'll iterate through gain levels as I capture the module and number them 1-9. "HF" refers to the HF switch being up which is a "High Frequency Compensation" switch. Think of it like a high cut that makes the tone darker and smoother--like a reverse bright switch that emphasizes the low-end and mid-range. On the amp and preamp pedal it appears to be the other way around (where HF up boosts high-end) but its basically just the same thing, just the switch and manual description is reversed on the module. A/B/C indicates the power amp structure used by the Syn20IR A--More Fender structure. Big bass, less mids, Sparkly high end. B--More Marshall/Vox structure. Less and looser bass, more mids, chimey high end, slightly more gain. C--More Modern structure. Tight bass, more low mids, smoother high end and gain.
