It includes 9 different dynamic, condenser, tube, and ribbon microphones in 4 different positions across the speaker, in single-mic and multi-mic blend configurations. This IR pack is part of our XR IR Collection [XR = extreme realism], the result of countless hours of IR experimentation, development, and A/B testing. The XR Collection is our latest and most accurate line of impulse responses we have ever created. When compared to the real mic'd cab using the same amp, it is difficult to discern any difference. These IRs deliver the truest representation of a cab in tone, feel, breakup quality, and harmonic information when pushed. They are universal, can be used on any platform that loads IRs, and are not dependent on specific amp settings to sound correct. MIC POSITIONS Each mic was captured in 4 positions across the speaker: 1 = Center Cap (brightest), 2 = Inner Cone, 3 = Mid Cone, 4 = Outer Cone (most low-end). Positions 2 and 3 tend to be the most balanced. Start with a position 3 IR for a balanced tone, then try 2 for brighter or 4 for warmer. Each single-mic IR includes 3 variations: Unaltered Mic, Enhanced, and Top Boost, giving you raw and studio-refined tonal options for the ultimate IR experience.
