Description

Yamaha FX550 Guitar Multi FX Unit Some quite long modulated delays, a bit shoe gaze but quite cool and something I've used to build up ambient sounds with vocals in the past. This unit allows you to set a long delay and then have another tempo based effect modulate it for all but one I used a sine wave trem set at a very slow time every whole note or possibly every two whole notes i seem to to remember and it gives it the wavy feel, flanged one of them for some reason. Obviously you cant go on forever with an impulse response as I did with the FX unit but it gives you some really long ambient delays. I've used them in a DAW, I also reversed them in Logic's Space Designer and halved the time that was interesting. Think i was working at 120 bpm on these ?! See what you think Cheers Matt

have you tried capturing these as nam snapshots instead of impulse responses?
