Description

Nam captures of my 1971 Fender Twin Reverb. I captured both channels with many different vol and eq settings. I also made captures of the common trick of removing the V1 preamp tube and changing the V6 PI tube for more vib channel gain. These are amp-only captures, but I have IRs of this cab on ToneHunt: https://tonehunt.org/DahmanMusic/17d21d97-0c55-4570-9814-4bd3dde13150. My favorite way to mic this cab is with a C414 on cap of the left speaker, and a C414 on the cone of the right speaker. I hope you like it! Captured using UA OX @24/48 through RME Fireface Converters at 600 epochs. August 2024

These captures are a ton of fun. I especially like the V1 Pulled V10 T10 M10 B10 capture. It's great for classic rock and blues. Everything from Allman Brothers to Jimmy Herring to SRV. I know it may not match exactly what amps those players use but it still fits nicely. Different guitars give different flavors with this amp/capture and I like It with Strat, Les Paul, and Telecaster. 2 York Audio IRs loaded via Pulse 3 loader. FTWN (Fender Twin) 212 D120 57m-1 FTWN 212 D120 121-1 Valhalla Room reverb Audient Id14 interface Sounds great without pedals but I also use a Chase Tone Secret Preamp sometimes for a little extra something.
