A polished ’90s studio lead tone built around Channel 3 of a Custom Audio Amplifiers 3+ SE, paired with a VHT G-2562-S Black Beauty 6L6 power amp. This pack includes two finished mic blends captured through an Orange PPC212: SM57 + M160 — Focused attack, smooth body, and a clear top end with plenty of depth. SM57 + MD421 — Punchier and more forward, with dense mids and a firm low end that sits confidently in a mix. Both models deliver smooth sustain, focused mids, tight lows, and clarity without becoming harsh. No boost or drive pedal was used—the tone comes directly from the 3+ SE and power section. Roll back your guitar’s volume for a lower-gain lead tone, then turn it all the way up for full high-gain sustain. Try working the volume control and explore how naturally the tone changes along the way.
