Description

This is an IR captured from a Celestion VX12 speaker (80W, 16Ω), recently removed from a Vox AC30S1 and mounted in a custom 1x12 cabinet (sides & trim are pine, and the back panels & baffle are Baltic birch). An SM57 microphone was placed about 3 inches off-center, 1/2" away from the grill cloth, and slightly off-axis. I don't think this speaker works well for the Vox AC30S1, however it sounds surprisingly articulate to me at very high gain when comparing it to my V30 IR from the same cab. Try it with the boosted EVH sampler NAM on T3K. This was created using the free Spectrum Thief plugin for Reaper, provided by Ghost Note Audio: https://ghostnoteaudio.uk/products/spectrum-thief?srsltid=AfmBOooMgOax22JhyhUswkpgOXCLkNMmUX_ABmvwyy8IGqbcSXlmDHa8
