Description

COILSHIFT: STANDARD JAZZ BASS EDITION Transform your stock Fender Jazz Bass into 14 legendary active, vintage, and acoustic pickup configurations. OVERVIEW Coilshift is the first collection of pickup and control-harness digital twins engineered for Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) and the Darkglass Anagram pedalboard. Rather than modeling an amplifier or speaker cabinet, these models capture the fundamental electro-acoustic physics of: • Pickup coil inductances, eddy currents, and DC resistance • Magnetic aperture geometry and spatial string comb-filtering • Era-accurate potentiometer loading and tone capacitor values • Instrument cable capacitance drag (750 pF) • Active onboard discrete preamps and EQ buffers This edition is specifically calibrated for a 34" Standard Jazz Bass with stock passive neck and bridge single-coil pickups. RECOMMENDED SIGNAL CHAIN Place Coilshift as the very first block in your signal path: [Fender Jazz Bass] -> [Block 1: Coilshift NAM Preamp] (Input / Pickup Front-End) -> [Block 2: Amp / Drive / Preamp] (Darkglass B7K, SVT, B-15, etc.) -> [Block 3: Speaker Cabinet IR] (8x10, 4x10, 1x15, etc.) -> [FOH / Audio Interface / DAW] JAZZ BASS KNOB GUIDE Keep physical Master Tone at 100% (Wide Open) for all models. Set your two physical Volume knobs according to the target model: Both Volumes 100% (Parallel Pair) • Use for: 01, 02, 07, 08, 11 • Provides dual single-coil aperture scoop and branch summing. Neck 100%, Bridge 0% (Solo Neck) • Use for: 04, 05, 06, 12, 14 • Provides single-line sensing with maximum low-frequency string excursion. Bridge 100%, Neck 0% (Solo Bridge) • Use for: 03, 09, 10, 13 • Places sensing at the bridge datum (63.5mm), only 2.5mm from the StingRay spot. THE 14 DIGITAL TWIN VOICINGS Jazz Bass Family 01.
