Comfortably Numb Tone Collection

This is a collection of Comfortably Numb Lead Tones that were EQ'ed for the various recorded tones on record - something for the hardcore nerdy Gilmour fans (like myself) The tones all feature the chain guitar -> Rams head Clone -> Hi-Tone DG 50 -> Custom IR (50/50 4x12 Hiwatt and Marshall Greenback) -> EQ. For DSOT and PULSE Gilmour played an EMG strat with the SPC mid boost wide open - this is baked into the EQ. hence, these captures should sound close to the original *without* the mid boost. It should work with a normal strat bridge pickup or an EMG strat on the bridge pickup without the boost. Thus these are the dry tones and wet effects need to be added Studio (79/80) - studio recording. Delay and reverb, possibly a bit of flanger and/or rotary. You can put a compressor in front but I don't think it is necessary since the tones are already very compressed. DSOT= Delicate Sound of Thunder (87/88) - Chorus hard panned left, delay and reverb PULSE= Pulse tour (93/04) - mono Chorus -> Chorus left, Delay and Reverb, possibly a bit of rotary Gdansk= Live in Gdank(06) - likely only delay and reverb RTN = Remember that Night (06) - likely only delay and reverb Pompei (15) - Possibly flanger, delay and reverb Rome (24) - Likely delay and reverb, perhaps a small a mount of flanger For more details on how to generate the wet effects, exact delay times etc. the web sites of Kit Rae and Gilmour'ish are recommended. The dirt pedal probably has varied a bit over time between Gilmou's original Rams Head, a Cornish P-1, maybe P-2 and perhaps even a Tube Driver in the later years. These are sometimes hard to tell apart and the specific EQ should take care of a large part of the differences.
