Dual Amp Profile: VOX AD15 + AlinaPro CA-40

A pair of combo amps that complement each other pretty well: the VOX Valvetronix AD15 with its recognizable digital voicing, and the AlinaPro CA-40 with its old-school, gritty crunch. Together, they land somewhere in the middle. Since I only have one mic, I had to record them like this: with the mic placed right between the two amps. The Fifine A8 is a cardioid, so the result isn’t exactly a true picture of either amp. I just did it for fun, and figured someone might dig it. If you want proper stereo, you can always load the two amp profiles separately in your software. Here’s the signal chain: the guitar (Ibanez Gio GRG121DX) went into an Alctron DI100 DI box, which fed the M-Audio Mobile Pre interface (to record the DI track) and the AlinaPro amp. The VOX got its signal from the interface’s headphone out. So that’s how it went down. Hope you find it useful!
