Description

Duncan DDS-2250V. https://www.duncanamps.com/dds2250v/dds2250v.html This amp is virtually unknown and so rare because it was never a production amp in the first place. This is the closest we're ever going to get in terms of experiencing it. The overall circuitry for the preamp section drove me mad for months because it was _very_ unconventional. Took me too long to figure out that an input voltage of 200mV and 12V DC supply for the preamp tube plate voltages were the crucial values I needed to be able to simulate this amp accurately. ・Input attenuator. Probably the only amp design I've ever seen that has this... so far. Duncan has recommended these settings:  。4 (11 o'clock) for humbuckers and other high output pickups.  。8 (3 o'clock) for single coils and other low output pickups. ・Channels A and B. Similar gain structure, the main difference is that Channel A is voiced for rhythm playing with its high headroom, while Channel B is more compressed for leads.  。Soft/Hard Harmonic Switch - changes the voicing of the channel from open-sounding to "brown sounding."  。Turbo - additional tube stage for more preamp gain. ・Preamp and poweramp sections are also provided separately. [LEGEND] ・FULL - Preamp + poweramp ・PRE - Preamp section ・PWR - Poweramp section ・ATT[4/8] - Input attenuator. 4 for high output pickups, 8 for low output pickups. ・ChA - Channel A (Rhythm) ・ChB - Channel B (Lead) ・[S/H] - Harmonic Switch [Soft/Hard] ・T - Turbo [NOTES] ・All the models are captured with 8x oversampling and 64 iterations for the highest quality possible. ・Should you wish to push more gain into the captures, use a separate gain utility/plugin and a clipper/waveshaper/limiter with a ceiling of -0.1dB or less before your NAM loader to prevent nuking the models if the input signal gets too hot. === LiveSPICE: https://livespice.org/ Original LiveSPICE .schx schematic file: https://github.com/MARKTHERENCE/LiveSPICE-MK-Circuits
